During 73^rd PT SE21 meeting (1-3 September 2010) the following progress was reached:

1)   Revision of ERC REC 74-01 was finalised (WI SE21_14). Revisions were made with respect to  Annex 1 “Fixed service specific requirements”; Annex 2 “Land mobile service and maritime mobile service (VHF)” and Annex 5 “Specific requirements for radar systems in the radiodetermination service”. Issue of measurements beyond 110 GHz was specified in  the main body of Recommendation.

As outcome of the WI SE21_14 SE21 will propose at the next WGSE meeting new Work item dealing with  revision of ECC/REC/(02)05 “Unwanted emissions” in order to include  references to the outcome of the WRC-07.

2)   Draft ECC Report on the impact of radar spurious emissions on other radiocommunication services/systems was finilised and will be presented at the next WG SE for sending it for public consultations. Three different victim services were considered in this Report, i.e. Fixed service (PP application), Mobile service (RLAN in 5 GHz band) and Radioastronomy service. Some filtering solutions of radar systems operating in CEPT countries were analysed and it was recognised that there are some practical difficulties to achieve -100 dBc limit for spurious emission of radar in the whole range of frequencies.

3) Following the request of WG SE Chairman the results of compatibility studies between the FS in the 81-86/92-94 GHz bands and the EESS in the adjacent 86-92 GHz band were considered Response was prepared  highlighting some of the technical parameters relating to the studies.
