Latest news

At its 6th meeting (1 - 4 June 2010, in Tallinn, Estonia), CPG PTA considered and agreed on the following issues :

 

§         The draft CEPT brief on WRC-12 agenda item 1.2 was updated subject to further updates at the future meetings of PTA.

§         The preliminary draft ECP on WRC-12 agenda item 1.2 was approved by CPG PTA and forwarded to the CPG for consideration.

§         Three documents, proposing changes to the CPM text on agenda item 1.2, intended to be submitted to WP 1B as CEPT contribution were not agreed. They will be submitted as multi-country proposals. 

§         The draft CEPT brief on WRC-12 agenda item 1.13 was updated subject to further refinement at the future meetings of PTA.

§         The Preliminary Draft European Common Proposal on agenda item 1.13 was revised subject to further improvements at the future PTA meetings.

§         A documents, proposing changes to the CPM text on agenda item 1.13, intended to be submitted to WP 4A as CEPT contribution was not agreed. It will be submitted as a multi-country proposal.

§         The draft CEPT brief on WRC-12 agenda item 1.19 was updated subject to further refinement at the future meetings of PTA.

§         A documents, proposing changes to the CPM text on agenda item 1.19, intended to be submitted to WP 1B as CEPT contribution was not agreed. It will be submitted as a multi-country proposal.

§         The draft CEPT brief on WRC-12 agenda item 1.22 was updated subject to further refinement at the future meetings of PTA.

§         A documents, proposing changes to the CPM text on agenda item 1.22 was agreed to be submitted to WP 1B as CEPT contribution.

§         The draft CEPT brief on WRC-12 agenda item 7 was updated subject to further refinement at the future meetings of PTA.

§         The preliminary draft ECP on WRC-12 agenda item 7 was not considered, and no new ECP on this agenda item was developed at this meeting.

§         The draft CEPT brief on WRC-12 agenda item 8.1 was updated subject to further refinement at the future meetings of PTA.

§         The preliminary draft ECP on WRC-12 agenda item 8.1 was revised subject to further refinement at the future meetings of PTA.

§         The draft CEPT brief on WRC-12 agenda item 8.2 was approved subject to further updates at the future meetings of PTA.

§         A liaison statement was sent to WG FM, WG SE, ECC PT1, CPG PTs B, C, and D on the preparatory work undertaken by PTA on the agendas of future WRCs.

§         A liaison statement was sent to the EC, ETSI and those organisations having LoU with CEPT on the preparatory work undertaken by PTA on the agendas of future WRCs.

§         A reply liaison statement was sent to Com-ITU on enhanced protection of satellite telecommunications to be considered by the PP-10 Conference.

Ongoing work

The work of CPG-PTA concentrates on general regulatory and technical issues of WRC-11 preparation, in particular, on agenda items 1.2, 1.13, 1.19, 1.22, 2, 4, 7, 8.1 (except WRC Resolutions 13, 344, 355, 517 and 673) and 8.2.

To deal with these agenda items, CPG-PTA prepares draft European Common Proposals, draft CEPT brief, preliminary CEPT positions, for the presentation to other administrations or regional bodies and CEPT positions for the Radiocommunication Assembly.
 
CPG-PTA also coordinates CEPT positions for the relevant ITU-R meetings, in particular Conference Preparatory Meeting and Special Committee on regulatory/procedural matters, and CEPT positions concerning draft RRB rules of procedures.

In carrying out these activities CPG-PTA consults with the relevant bodies and organisations and reports to the CPG..
